Make Your Personal Statement Standout: A Writer's Checklist

Writing your personal statement may be the most difficult thing about applying for graduate school. You're never sure exactly what to say or what the school is looking for in the essays. So, how do you write a personal statement that stands out from the crowd?

Be Honest

Dental Story

One of the biggest mistakes students make is trying to say what they think the group wants to hear. They write a lot of flowery B.S. That the professors can see right through. Be yourself and tell the truth about who you are, what you expect from the program, and what you want to do with your life.

Authentic Voice

Somewhat related to being honest is using your authentic voice. Sound like yourself. Now, don't use a lot of slang and become too informal, but don't try to sound like Shakespeare either. Use your own words instead of those written by someone from the 1800s.

Be Straightforward

Get right to the point with your personal statement. Many habitancy try to make everything sound more formal but adding a lot of fluff. Comprehend that your prospective professors have to read dozens, even hundreds, of these essays a year. If you get to the point, they will be grateful.

Tell a Story

When you write your personal statement, tell your story. Give definite examples and stories of the situations that made you believe what you believe and made you want to get into this definite profession in the first place.

Correct Spelling & Grammar

Be sure that you check your spelling and grammar carefully. A professor won't have much faith in you if every other word is misspelled or the grammar is fully wrong. Have friends and house read your essay as well to give you feedback on the article and grammar. If you're still having trouble, find a expert copywriter or editor to proofread your paper.

The Dangers of Dental Anxiety and Dental Phobia

Many citizen have a fear of their dentist and many often avoid looking one for as long as they can. It seems to me that most of these people's fears are from either bad experiences at the dentist or are naturally irrational. I attend my dental custom every six months and have never had a question visiting my dentist. I have had x-rays, my wisdom teeth have been pulled out and my teeth have been polished but the one thing I have never had done is a filling.

From speaking to my friends and house most citizen seem to have a question with fillings. I've heard tales of giant needles being plunged into gums and then the age-old story of the anesthetic not working as your teeth are pulled from your mouth. Having never experienced a filling I can't tell if these are exaggerations or not but if you do suffer from dental custom phobia it can supervene you badly as many citizen put off looking the dentist altogether.

Dental Story

Avoiding going to the dentist can be very bad for your dental hygiene. Failure to visit the dentist can supervene in tooth decay and gum disease. If these conditions aren't treated they will supervene in tooth decay which is not only painful but causes bad breath and will at last supervene in teeth having to be removed. Dentists also consideration other changes in your mouth and can be the first to consideration developments of mouth cancer and can therefore save your life.

For these reasons dental practices are looking for ways to overcome dental anxiety in order to get citizen to come back to the dentist. They have been contribution patients the chance to discuss their fears with their dentist and the possible solutions to overcome these fears. Many practices that have their own branded dental plans will offer dissimilar types of sedation, either inhalation or intravenous, as well as options like counseling services, hypnotherapy and distraction techniques.

Stress, Acidity, and Dental Decay

I was at a barbecue this weekend and met a physician there. I'll call him Dr. T. We got talking about disease and the disease business. Of procedure I was fairly quick to bring up the issue of acidosis and alkalinity. I was surprised to find that this physician was in fact up to date with his knowledge and understanding colse to the mechanisms of disease. We had a fairly frank discussion.

The short story is that it seems there are a few doctors who are aware of the point of alkalinity in the arresting of conditions that lead to disease. Dr. T indicated to me that the healing profession is aware that persons who are adequately hydrated with properly alkalized water generate intra-cellular conditions that make it difficult, if not impossible, for defective or mutated cells to replicate. In layman's terms, this appears to mean that under the right circumstances, disease cannot exist.

Dental Story

I asked him why, then, is there not more concentration given to this. I found the reply somewhat annoying. The way the healing principles in many western countries is set up, doctors are not paid well for subjective intervention such as discussing diets, and corporeal processes. They are paid well for treating symptoms for patients in rapid succession. A general practitioner might reasonably see 45 to 60 patients per day under this model. If he or she were to consult fully with their clients, there would be time for only about 5 to 10 patients per day.

Dr. T told me that he had seen the effects of high acid diets, especially since the introduction of all these "energy drinks". He told me of one beloved drink that within one hour of involving a can of this stuff, his clients blood cells looked like the blood cells of a 75 year old man. The blood was thick and sticky. He indicated that these drinks are of concern to the health care industry. There is no pharmaceutical remedy for this kind of self abuse.

At the same time, we talked about the great benefits of alkalinity. Dr. T. Told me about a client he had that was under a lot of stress. As a result, her body was producing weighty amounts of acid. In an attempt to operate the acid, his client did what most population are told to do for stress. She exercised more! What she did not comprehend is that practice turns up the volume on acid output considerably. When you breathe more and work your muscles you are building up lactic acid, carbonic acid and a range of blood acids. Dr. T's client began to touch her teeth pitting and rotting. It was as though they suddenly all decided to rot out of her head. The acid was eating away at the enamel quickly.

Dr. T swiftly put his client on a high alkaline water and roughly immediately the dental decay was arrested. She had dental work done to heal the damage and after 5 months of general practice and a high alkaline diet, she had no dental decay and was finding and feeling very well.

As the story of alkalinity get out, more and more population will get onboard and fix their diets. It doesn't take much attempt to in fact get on the right path.

Alex Takes Calls About "Forced Medication" on The Alex Jones Sunday Edition 4/4 Video Clips. Duration : 10.67 Mins.

[[ Story on Mystery Substance Distracts from Fact Fluoride is a Deadly Killer ]] Kurt Nimmo prisonplanet.tv www.Infowars.com March 13, 2010 The investigative team at WCVB TV in Boston ran a story yesterday about an unknown substance in fluoride imported from China. Team 5 Investigates found the Amesbury Water Department pulled fluoride from its system amid concerns about its supply from China, the news station reported. Department of Public Works Director Rob Desmarais said after he mixes the white powder with water, 40 percent of it will not dissolve. Desmarais said the residue clogs his machines and makes it difficult to get a consistent level of fluoride in the towns water. A screen capture from the WCVB TV report reveals fluoride added to drinking water is a deadly toxin. In the video report below, WCVB mentions melamine in food products and the heavy metal cadmium in toys imported from China while completely ignoring the larger and more important issue — fluoride is an extremely dangerous toxin that kills. Fluoride is added to the water most of us drink because the government believes its a safe and inexpensive way to prevent tooth decay. Fluoride does not prevent tooth decay. According to numerous studies, water fluoridation actually increases tooth decay. The AMA and others fallaciously claim that fluoride added to over 62% of US water supplies reduces tooth decay. However, no less than six studies from dental journals show it does not and, in fact, may increase ...
